Dog Trainin<s></s>g Hand Signals – Learning how to perfo&#114&#109&#32dog training with hand signals can be tricky. Main&#108&#121&#44<s></s> hand signals are used in conjunction with words. &#73&#116&#32is much easier to train a dog with these after the&#121&#32&#97re trained with words. The methods I am going to s&#104&#97&#114e<s></s> with you pertain to vocally trained dogs, and al&#115&#111&#32dogs with no training what-so-ever.

Teaching to Sit

Dog Train&#105&#110&#103 Hand Signals – Teaching a dog how to sit using dog training han&#100&#32&#115ignals is a fairly simple technique. You should ge&#116&#32&#97 treat and hold it out in front of their nose. If &#116&#104&#101 dog already knows how to sit by voice, then you w&#111&#110’t need to u&#115&#101&#32food. Now, with your hand in front of their nose, &#98&#101&#103in to move it towards the back of their head. If t&#104&#101&#121 are vocally trained, this is the time where you s&#104&#111&#117ld say “sit.” If they aren’t trained, they will bend their head backwards following the food&#44&#32&#97nd you should say sit. Every time you say sit, put&#32&#121&#111ur hand out in front of their faces after training&#32&#116&#104em with food for a while. They will begin to reali&#122&#101&#32that when you put your hand out in front of them i&#116&#32&#109eans sit.

Teaching to Lay Down

First you will have&#32&#116&#111 teach the “sit” dog training hand signal. Then, once the pooch is sitting, br&#105&#110&#103 your hand, with or without food, out in front of &#116&#104&#101ir nose<s></s> again. While saying lay down, move your ha&#110&#100&#32down towards the ground so they follow it into a l&#97&#121&#105ng position. Obviously, they will learn that when &#121&#111&#117 move your hand from eye level, to the floor, it m&#101&#97&#110s lay down.

Now that I have taught you two simple &#100&#111&#103 training hand signals, you can begin coming up wi&#116&#104&#32your own. Just remember, you need to practice ofte&#110&#32&#119ith your pet so they learn fast! The key is to bui&#108&#100&#32trust.
